Our Mission
BAICFF’s mission is to present engaging, culturally diverse films and education programs for children and families.
Our Vision
BAICFF is an annual Playdate for the Imagination™ where education and imagination collide. The festival offers families a cinematic view of the world’s varied cultures and traditions. The films inspire curiosity and conversation, and allow children to experience a wide range of cultural perspectives.
Our Start
In January 2009, The Renaissance International School and Screen 360: Films for Children of the World produced the first Bay Area International Children’s Film Festival in the San Francisco East Bay. The festival began as a creative community event to support education programs that foster global understanding and cultural exchange. BAICFF has since produced nine annual festivals, presented over 450 family-friendly films of high artistic value from around the world, and held workshops for over 800 children designed to introduce kids to the world of animation and live-action filmmaking.
